Education in the garden

The garden offers various learning opportunities — establishing outdoor learning spaces adapted for general education, known as green classrooms; combining observation, understanding, and knowledge of the environment and natural sciences; or acquiring practical gardening skills.

Aukštaitija National Park Nature School offers environmental and history education programs suitable for all age groups.

Ikšķile Free School   is one of the developers of school gardens, involving children and parents in the entire garden creation process — from planning to harvesting.

The Institute of Horticulture offers extensive opportunities for organizing horticultural internships for students of various levels or developing scientific research projects for school pupils under the guidance of experienced specialists.
